JOHN "JACK" FREY

FREY JOHN EMERSON FREY "Jack" (Age 82) Recently of Richmond, VA, and formerly of Potomac, MD, and St. Marys, PA, entered eternal rest on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born on January 8, 1935, in St. Marys, a son of the late Albert and Julia Breindel Frey. On August 23, 1962, he married Therese Olivas Frey, who survives in Richmond, VA. John was born and raised in St. Marys and was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1953. He served two years in the U.S. Army, and attended St. Vincent College and the University of Pittsburgh, earning degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering. He then began his career with Page Communications. This allowed him to travel the world, where he met his beloved wife of 54 years. He lived most of his life in Potomac, MD, where he and his wife made their home with their family. He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was a 3rd Degree Knight. His greatest love and passion was his family, and he greatly enjoyed researching his family genealogy. He is survived by two sons, John Frey (wife Patricia) of Rockville, MD and George Frey (wife Michelle) of Pelham, NH; two daughters, Eliza Zeidman (husband David) of Windsor, PA and Constance Fasca (husband Theodore) of Richmond, VA; and 11 grandchildren, Brian, Kelly, and Erin Frey, Colleen and John "Jack" Frey, Emily, Helen, Philip and Luke Zeidman, and Courtney and Anastasia Fasca. He is also survived by three sisters, Edna Crawford of St. Marys, Sr. Joachim, OSB, of Erie, and Rita Frey of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Norbert Frey, Mark Frey, Joseph Frey and Raymond Frey in infancy; and sister, Mary Ann Gregory.
