JOHN RUNKLE Obituary


JOHN KEVIN RUNKLE (Age 59)  
The son of John and Aileen Runkle, died on March 14, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. He worked at The Washington Post for over 30 years. He is survived by his mother, Aileen Runkle, brother, Ken Runkle and sister, Gayle Gutridge. Also, survived by two nieces and two nephews. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Glenmont United Methodist Church, 12901 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906 on Saturday, March 28 at 4 p.m. Refreshments following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Casey's House Hospice, 6001 Muncaster Mill Rd., Rockville, MD 20855.

I have such fond memories of Kevin, of our times at the lake. He always made time to entertain the kids, (including me), with rides on the boat and fireworks. He will be missed, but always remembered. Love and prayers to Aunt Aileen, and the whole family.
