JOHN W. SAUNDERS, JR. DDS.  
Dr. John W. Saunders age 83 of Washington, DC. die April 19, 2017 at home with his family. Loving and devoted husband of wife, Dorothea Saunders; beloved father of Vickey Saunder, Charles Saunders, Kim Lawson, Terri Saunders and the late Keith Saunders. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Smith; three grandchildren, Camron Lawson, Austin Lawson and Blair Lawson; other relatives and friends. Dr. Saunders will lie in state at Peoples Community Baptist Church, 31 Norwood Rd., Silver Spring, MD. 20905 on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. until funeral service 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Services by Stewart.

May the God for all Comfort, comfort the Saunders, Lawson families and friends. "Pop Saund" was a mentor to many of the late Keith Saunders friends, which I am one. They both are truly missed.
