Joseph Wilmer Pinkney
Born in 1923, passed from this life on the afternoon of Saturday, January 23, 2016, at home, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maud (Houston); his children, Joseph, Jr. (Betsy), Floyd (Aretha), Phillip (Debra), and Rose Catherine and a loving host of extended family and friends. As his family, we are as proud of him as a loving husband, father and friend, as we are of his service in WWII at the Normandy Invasion. He will be missed. Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Adams Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with prayer services at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Paul''s Episcopal Church, 4535 Piney Church Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20602 from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Interment church cemetery.
