I am so very sorry to learn of our lose of Joseph Scolaro. He was indeed a "class act." Joe was elegant, charming, handsome, talented and such fun to be around. He will be missed.

Although it has been more than thirty years since I worked with Mr. Scolaro at the Woodies in Columbia, and though it was for a relatively brief time, he made an impression on me which cannot be erased. He was unfailingly kind, polite and respectful in dealing with the sales staff, and he was beloved by us all. He dealt with a set of trying circumstances in the most grcious manner I've ever seen.
During the day on Christmas Eve, 1973 or 1974, Mr. Scolaro made it a point to approach every single employee, shake hands, and express his appreciation for our hard work and his wish for a happy holiday. I have thought fondly of this gesture, and mentioned it to my family and co-workers, every Christmas since then.
Mr. Scolaro was a great man, a true gentleman, and a nice guy.
