Joyce was the 1st upperclassman I met in our high school. She was my assigned "big sister". She took taking care of others in service very seriously. I have many fond memories of her from the late 1950s until we lost contact in the late 1990s. May God continue to bless her, her life´s service and may she rest in peace!!

Dr. Leland was a pioneer in the area of therapeutic services for the dually diagnosed population in the District of Columbia. Her unorthodox and admirable brand of therapy cannot be duplicated. She is sorely missed by all whom she helped. Rest in peace Dr. Leland.
