We were saddened to read of your passing in the Esky paper. You were a fun loving girl. Liked boys, skiing, enjoyed coming back to the UP with your family every summer. Rest in peace. From Gladstone high school classmates

I remember when we took you to FL the first time. You had to have your picture taken by the Spanish moss!

One thing about my grandmother was that she was resilient.  She endured all of life's bitterness and she indulged in all of life's sweetness.  She suffered an early loss withhusband's death. She became so independent. Some would call it strong-willed, some would even call it stubborn. But truly, it was her unending independent spirit which made will so strong, and caused her to be so stubborn. I can only hope that she is now at ease enjoying her heart medicine.

"Nita! Juanita! Ask thy soul if we should part..." Is that how the song of your namesake went? I still find myself laughing randomly during the day thinking about the hilarious things you said. Although you have moved on, the love and humor you shared with us remains very close to our hearts. "Scotch on the rocks?"

Dear Judy and Susan,
Everyday you will remember your mother for she was such a vibrant example of the virtues we hold high. She will "live on in love" and through her inspiration.
I was fortunate to have her as a sparkling, enthusiastic student at Montgomery College. It was then that our long friendship began. She was interested in education and in the political arena--bringing about change. I gave her the opportunity to engage in campaigns by being a candidate myself. She was such an asset, loved by all the supporters. I could always depend upon Juanita for loyalty, hard work, and commitment. Her sense of humor brightened all of us--especially during dark moments. We especially enjoyed the Maryland legislature and US House of Representatives victories.
Our friendship continued and even today when i pass by her street in Bethesda I send her a message of thanks and love.
I offer sincere condolences and prayers to all her family, whom she so loved.

To Judy and family, Your mom has passed on, but her memory lives on in our hearts. One memory that I have is her taking on the job of sewing our bridesmaid dresses for your wedding. It was a lot of work but she was so happy doing it and treating us like her own kids. Love, Audrey

Judy, I have so many memories of our (SPECIAL FRIENDSHIP), your MOM was such a big part of it. I always looked forward to the summer when you came to Michigan to see your Grandparents! I won't ever forget the time we were stranded across the bay because of "the boat" it took so long for the guys to come get us, so when we did finally get to shore, you and I were walking home and a car pulled up along side of us, a person (your mom) said would you two girls like a ride home?? My mom was driving and your mom was in the passenger seat. We were so glad to see them!! Also, your mom was so much fun to be with, we were all singing in the car when I rode with you and your mom from Gladstone to Minneapolis. Such good memories!!! Take Care My Good Friend and know that your mom will always be with you and will be looking over everyone!! Love, Terri Cole
