Judith Adams Obituary
JUDITH ANNE ADAMS
Died peacefully on June 14, 2022 at Hospice House of Williamsburg. Born 1949 in Rochester, NY, Judy graduated from Purdue University in 1971 and earned a Master of Library and Information Science from Catholic University of America in 1977. An accomplished librarian, talented gardener and devoted wife, mother and friend, Judy was graced with a singular ability to uplift spirits and a boundless well of kindness, generosity, and goodwill that endeared her to all who knew her. Predeceased by her parents, Helen and John Jones, she is survived by her beloved husband Jim and loving son Kelly; brothers J. Thomas Jones and Peter W. (Patricia) Jones; sister Mary Kay (Bill) Lupton; three nephews and three nieces. A memorial service will be held at 10:45 a.m. on August 26, 2022 at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in McLean, VA. A celebration of life will follow. Interment at a later date at St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg, VA.

How blessed we were, Tom, Pete, Judy and myself, to grow up in such a loving family. We have so many happy memories to remember our sweet baby sister with. Thanks Mom and Dad!

I recognized her name posted on the doors at St. John the Beloved in McLean, and it seemed familiar, but then I remembered more clearly that she was the lovely lady who lived a few blocks down Rockingham St. in Franklin Park, running into her only every now and then, but especially at the Walthall's annual Derby party.
As I said, she was a lovely person, friendly, smiling, kind. I wish I had gotten to know her better.
I moved out of the neighborhood over 10 years ago, so I didn't see my former neighbors very often.
I'm very sorry, I would have been to the funeral/Memorial Mass, but I had a previous out of town commitment.
"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."
My heartfelt condolences to her family. She is remembered fondly.
