Thank you, Dr. Perry for being an excellent pediatrician. You were my doctor before I knew I wanted to be a doctor. Very knowledgeable and always funny doctor.

To the Perry Family,
Dr. Perry was my doctor growing up. I am now 52. Mom would call and he would tell her to bring me in ASAP. As an adult, I would drive past his office on 16th street and think of him and his kindness. I would see his car in the driveway. He was a good man and role model for so many. Blessing to your family and thank you with so much love. Alice Jefferson (Barbara Wilson-Mom)

My mother Marie C Jackson worked in Dr Perry's office for 8 years, he was not only our pediatrician but a family friend. Looking at old pics and the time Dr Perry allowed my mother to have my 4th or 5th birthday party in his office lobby after hours.
I'm 52 years old and Dr. Perry was there for me when I was married in 1990. My brother Keith stayed in close contact with Dr. Perry and my sister Karen was also a patient.
We all loved and admired Dr Perry. He is truly missed, his wisdom, his wit and smile.
What a JEWEL he was, I'm sure he And my mother are in heaven laughing and he's bossing her around right now.

To the Perry Family,
This message will find you years after Dr.Perry's passing but I ran across the information of his passing and felt compelled to weigh in. Dr. Perry was me and my brother's physician. I'm now 50 yrs old with a family of my own and I still remember him. My mother still sings his praise for being a dynamic doctor. As kids we stayed sick quite a bit and spent most nights in Dr. Perry's office. I just remember feeling like once we got to his office all this 'sick thing' will go away. He was truly a great doctor and I'm very grateful to have been one of his patients.
God bless,

I am just learning of the passing of Dr. Perry, who was my son's pediatrician. Dr. Perry taught me so much as a young, single mother and always called me "Mother!" Not only was he smart, he knew all of his patients and returned all my panic phone calls. Dr. Perry was the family pediatrician for most all of the Henson/Williams children. God bless and eternal rest to you dear Dr. Perry.

To Mrs. Perry, Tad, Monique, and Lauren,
Words can't express our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of Dr. Perry. Your family was like a second family to my brother and I when we visited my Aunt Lucille, Uncle Burnett, and cousin Carl during the summer(s) in D.C. Tad and I were at Howard in undergrad together, which made my transition to college life much easier. Dr. Perry was a wondeful person in every since of the word. God bless Dr. Perry and your family.

To Lauren and The Perry Family,
I stumbled across his obituary last Thursday while waiting to see my dentist and all at once the impact this man has had on my life hit me. Dr. Perry was my pediatrician when I was a child some 40+ years ago. He had also been the pediatrician for many of my relatives and for my siblings. He was the one who diagnosed my sister with cancer in 1965 and was very compassionate in helping my parents deal with the illness and death of their 7 year-old daughter.
I am a 1993 graduate of Howard University's Medical School (Lauren's classmate) and a pediatrician who hopes that I can touch half of the lives that Dr. Perry did. He is forever a part of who I am.
Cherish the memories.

What an unforgettable personality!
I remember the late nights in the office, wanting to go home but having to wait on my Boss who took the time to care for the emotional ills of ALL the family members as he tended to the physical presentation of his 'kids'
Dr. Perry was a marvel. He has left a legacy of caring and goodwill that generations will attest to.
To the family: Cherish the memories.
Our prayers are with you.

The best of the best. Dr. Julian Perry took care of my daughter who is now 25. I was referred to him by a friend who Dr. Perry had treated when he was a kid. All I can say is he will be greatly missed. We loved him so much. Dr. Perry was such a great doctor that I would call him when I got sick and asked him what should I do or who should I see. My friends would laugh at me and say you called a your daughters doctor for yourself. Yes I did! Dr. Perry took good care of me and my daughter and referred a many of my famil members to other great doctors. I loved to hear him laugh. To the family my prayers are with you. Dr. Perry is and was a very special jewel in my life that can never be replaced. Rhonda Turner

My sincerest condolences to Dr. Bottom, Wendell, Monique and Laruen. Aside from Dr. Perry being my pediatrician from the time I was bought home from the hospital, Dr. Perry has been a mentor, a friend and a godfather-like figure throughout my entire life. And not just to me, but also to my mother (M. Jackson who worked for him for many years) and both of my sisters.
He provided inspiration, guidance and top-notched medical care & advice to us for many, many years. And also gave me my first job as a pre-teenager helping out as needed in the office (e.g., cleaning aquariums, filing, etc.).
Later in life, I especially cherished the times within the past 10-12 years where I could only begin to return some of the favors - such as picking him up and taking him to get his prescription glasses, or picking him up near Union Station in downtown DC for lunch, etc.
Though in recent years we were out of touch, I think of him often and have/will miss him. His memory, his inspiration and legacy lives on. May God our Father comfort and richly bless all of you.
Sincerely,
August 5, 2010
