WILLS JULIAN BLACKLOCK"Blackie"WILLS, Sr. Julian Blacklock "Blackie" Wills, Sr., 76, of La Plata, Maryland died Sunday, February 14, 2010 peacefully at his home. He was born June 16, 1933 in Washington D.C. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Ann Mudd Wills, three sons; Julian Blacklock Wills, Jr., James Washington Wills III, Mark Reed Wills, two daughters; Helen Brooke Wills and Julia Ann Wills, three daughters-in-law; Michele Miles Wills, Susanne Lewis Wills, and Lisa Wilson Wills, and nine grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his parents James Washington Wills, Sr. and Julia Swann Blacklock Wills Lorimer, his older brother Captain James Washington Wills, Jr., and his son Joseph Mudd Wills. The family will receive friends for Blackie''s life celebration on Thursday, February 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with prayers at 7 p.m. in the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Port Tobacco, Maryland 20677. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 19 at 11 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius Chapel Point Catholic Church, 8855 Chapel Point Road, Port Tobacco MD, 20677, or to the Archbishop Neale School, 104 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Arrangements by the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., La Plata, MD.
