"Dear Nita and family, you guys are in my prayers. Please accept my condolences. You and your family are in my thoughts. I am here for you. Please call when you need me. I will miss "Justin". I can remember the times he would come in the CHC PACU after a procedure and wake up asking for me (Denise), and after seeing me, he will be ready to get dress and get out of here. It was a pleasure taking care of him. I was honored to have met all of you guys. "Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow". Now I pray for your comfort in the days ahead. God bless you and keep you in his tender care and love for all eternity". Love you all! ........Denise (3RD Floor Chc Pacu) Duke universty hospital....Durham NC.....love you all!

My heart goes out to all of Justin's family and friends. We carry with us a superstar's memory--one who in a short time showed us what life is all about: loving and living each moment!

My son, Alex, and Justin were high school buddies at GC. On graduation day, May 27, 2010, I was given an opportunity to spend time with Justin, Alex and Sophie while they awaited their time to graduate. It was such an awesome experience to be with them for those few minutes in the basement of the Shrine. I even made a note to myself on my calendar. I say to those of us who were blessed to cross Justin's path even if just for a moment: seek to touch, move, and inspire everyone you meet. It really is a priceless gift that we will carry with us for a lifetime.

"Dear Nina,

I remember when Lori Anne and I first really met You and Justin and how kind you both were to allow us to enter into your world...your circle. I truly believe that Justin considered us not just his chaplains, but as friends.

Lori Anne and I will always remember Justin as an intelligent, insightful, gifted, talented, vivacious and lovely young man.

I remember the time we all shared his prayer books, and talked about medical school, baking cookies, and listened to his hopes and dreams. I remember how you the proud mother always beamed in his presence. He was never afraid of anything as long as he knew you were looking out for him.

We will always remember him and the time he was with us here. We hope our presence made a difference for him as as for you.

Lori Anne and I cannot imagine how hard this is for you and your family. I know you miss Justin tremendously. We miss him, too. Accept our words to you and your family as those offered in much love and affection.
