Karl Corby Obituary
CORBY KARL W. CORBY, III On Thursday, July 17, 2008 Karl W. Corby, III of Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved husband of Stacey Corby. Also survived by his children, Kristin C. Lumelleau (Richard), Karl W. Corby, IV and Stephen C. Corby and their mother Nina C. Corby. Devoted son of Joan W. Corby; brother of Robert W. Corby, William G. Corby and Constance C. Tompkins; grandfather of Jack, Madeleine, Mason, Patrick and Andrew. He will also be missed by five beloved dogs. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3 Chevy Chase Cir, Chevy Chase, MD on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fund for Cancer Research and Education, P.O. Box 746, Earlysville, VA 22936. www.cancer-foundation.org .

Wow, it's been awhile. Just saying this just want to say to the family that Mr. Corby was a great guy. He gave me my first pair of tickets to see the redskins for the first time.
I was his chief engineer at 1201 connecticut avenue northwest, washington d c, The 2 twin physicians building at 9200 livingston road in fort washington m.d on off indian head highway And a small mall in poolsville maryland.
I remember miss stacy and the rescue dogs at the house in chevy chase.
To the family if they ever see this. I am very fortunate to have the pleasure of working with such a wonderful person.
Who trust and believe in me.
Continue to rest and heavenly peace.

Karl was a classic yachtsman and a total class act. Denise and I shared a great night with him during the Ft Lauderdale Boatshow discussing his new build under construction. I was very fortunate to have been a part of his boating world.

I am so saddened to hear the news about Karl. I have been away at a fishing tournament with my family and just got home this evening and received Stacey's message. I've known Karl since the early 80's when he bought some boats through me. After that our paths took different directions in boating, but my admiration and respect for Karl as a yachtsman only grew. I last saw Karl at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show when my wife and I had dinner with him. We compared our zest for stone crab claws at the Blue Moon Cafe. I feel such a big void with the lost of my friend Karl. As my wife Denise tells me, to live in the hearts of those you leave behind is not to die. Let us all remember Special K. I send my condolences to all who loved Karl Corby, father of my friend Kristin. Mr. Corby was always kind and hospitable to Kristin's friends. I remember the great pride he took in all of his children. He will be missed.
