Kathleen Stohlman Obituary

Kathleen McMahon Stohlman, 74, passed to eternal life on May 20, 2025. She was born in Washington, DC and attended Walter Johnson High School. She received her B.A. in education from Dunbarton College of the Holy Cross. A woman of devout faith and proud of her Irish Catholic roots, Kathleen devoted her life to her beloved husband and three children. She guided and encouraged her children to pursue their passions and was always there to support them.
Kathleen's loving and compassionate presence will be missed by those surviving her, including her children, Jennifer Stohlman-Bish (Paul) of Leesburg, VA, Edwin Stohlman IV (Catherine) of Carmel, IN, Ryan Stohlman (Lisa) of South Riding, VA; and her siblings, John McMahon, Jr. and Deirdre Escoffier. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Ella, Andrew, Christopher, William, Gabriel, and Peter, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jeanne McMahon, her sister, Sharon Morin, and her loving husband of 45 years, Edwin Stohlman III.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's Church at Rock Creek Cemetery, (Washington, DC) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 with visitation one hour prior.
Memorial contributions in Kathleen's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington (www.ccda.net).
