Mom

January 25, 2025

Dear Kelly,
As I remember you today, I am reminded of the many blessings you brought into my life.

When you died, a large part of me died with you. I realized I was a mother who was now childless. My passion for life diminished, giving me months on end of tremendous sadness and feelings of emptiness.

Very slowly I have chosen to find the silver lining in each day. I learned to again appreciate the small things in life. To accept the things I cannot change. I will always have difficulty understanding why you were taken so soon.

I know in my heart, "Life gave me the gift of you." This is the ultimate blessing a mother can ever have. I will continue to carry my love for you and your memory forever.

I love you so much and deeply miss you,
Mom

My Sweet Kelly,

You are always on my mind, especially when I'm shopping - how you loved it.
When I'm playing with a friends dog - how you wanted one.
Eating Mexican food - how you enjoyed every bite.
Taking walks - our best time to share laughs, speak of our worries, setting goals and making future plans.

Since Jan. 25, 2016, Dad has wanted nothing more than to be with you. This Fall, Dad joined you in heaven and I know you welcomed him with your arms wrapped around his neck in a warm loving embrace.

Today, I am as sad as I have ever been because I miss you both so much. My only solace is you are taking care of Dad and giving him peace and comfort.

Sending much love and kisses to my special angel.

Love, Mom

I just recently learned of Kelly´s passing. We weren´t best friends or kept in touch after school but we were always bus stop friends, neighbors between Bettswood and Prestwood Dr. I remember her talking about swim practice at 5am and I thought "that´s nuts!" My heart goes out to the family and friends and even though she and I didn´t keep in touch, the thought of her brings find memories of our childhood and the innocence that comes along with it. May she keep resting in peace and her angelic glow provide warmth and comfort.

To our angel, Kelly,

The past seven years have flown by but for us time stands still. You are our first thought each morning and our last thought each night. We can no longer hear your voice, see your bright smiling face or give you warm bear hugs and loving kisses, but we will forever keep your memory tucked deep within our heart, soul and mind.

We love you Kelly and miss you so very much.

Love always,
Mom and Dad

Dear Kelly,

We mark another year of your passing with the same feelings as other years, deep despair that you have missed life's special moments...marriage, children, friends, promotions, travel, shopping, art, finally having a dog, reading a good book and watching a sunrise/sunset.

Understanding God's plan in taking you so soon is still difficult for us to accept. As we learn to live without you, the legacy of your beautiful spirit and goodness will be forever in our hearts and we will always be thankful for your precious life.

We love and miss you,
Mom and Dad

Dear Kelly,

It seems so hard to comprehend that today marks the 5th anniversary you earned your heavenly wings.

Some days we turn and look for you with thoughts we'd like to share. Some days we still can't understand the reason you were taken soon. Our only answer is that God always takes the best.
Your memory is what gets us through the days and years as we remember and cherish all the beautiful and special qualities of you.

Always loving you and always missing you,
Mom and Dad

January 25, 2020

Dear Kelly,

Remembering you is so easy to do because we do it every single day. Missing you is the heartache that never goes away. On days we are overwhelmed with sadness, we try to think of your bright, kind and silly personality, knowing that you left behind a trail of love, goodness and wonderful memories.

On this fourth anniversary earning your heavenly wings we want you to know how much you are missed and loved.

Forever loved,
Mom and Dad

Dear Kelly,
We miss your sparkling green eyes. We miss your gorgeous big smile. We miss your fun spirit. We miss your belly laugh. We miss your hugs. We miss your strong determination for all things difficult. Most of all, we miss the never ending kindness you showered upon all you knew.

On a snowy day three years ago tomorrow, The Lord wrapped his loving arms around you and made you a special angel.

You walk beside us each day and live in our hearts - loved as never before and deeply missed.
We love and miss you Doodlebug,
Mom and Dad

I met Kelly at Medimmune when we both worked there. I knew she was a big Clemson fan and we talked about that often. She always had a smile when I stopped by her office almost every morning on the way to get a coffee. I will always miss her.

Kelly was such a smart, beautiful and loving person, who had touched the lives of so many with her infectious laughter and her fun personality. I have never seen such an out pour of support with well wishes and prayers for her during her battle with Ewing Sarcoma cancer. She was truly loved and will be missed by many. My condolences and continued prayers go out to Fran and Richard Greer as well as to her fiancé T. Grant Lewis.

To our dear friends and neighbors, Fran and Rich:
You know how much Kelly meant to us and how much we looked forward to seeing her when she visited with you in Seven Lakes.
We will never forget the glow, sparkle in her eyes, and the happiness that showed all over her face when we kidded her about being so much in love with "T." Both of us will remember the beautiful lady--both inside and out-- as we last saw her in December, 2014.

To Kelly's family, fiancé, and friends. My heart is broken for you all. I wish there were words to say or actions to be taken to make everything right again, and bring Kelly back. Sadly I know too well that isn't possible so I will pray for peace and understanding around such a tragedy. I have known Kelly for many years through my little sister, Sandy Lee. Kelly was also an intern for me when she was in college, and later a facebook friend. She had a bright big smile, a positive energy, and it always felt good to be around her. I know Kelly will be loved and missed by many.

You will be remembered for being such a profoundly good friend. I can't even begin to list the names of people, who both Andrea and I know, that consider you to be such an important part of their lives. I hope we all were as good to you as you were to us. We miss you and think about you daily.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Kelly's parents and T Grant Lewis. She was certainly too young to leave us all with her infectious smile.

Hugs to all,
