Dr. Brown was my man. I met him years ago at Bally's and we became friendly with one another. I enjoyed my many conversations with Dr. Brown. He was extremely inciteful and a joy to speak with. We loved talking life and sports and shooting the breeze at the gym. It was always a delight to see him and his "crew" at the gym on Saturday mornings. Hadn't seen him in years and it saddens me to hear of his passing. You will be missed. God Bless!

I met Ken when we were undergraduates together at JHU, on the freshman football team. We went on to become best friends during those first couple of years in college.
Ken had a rare gift in being a lot of fun to be around, with a wry insightful sense of humor and at the same time being intensely focused on his future career in medicine. He never wavered from his resolve to help his fellow humans in this manner. As a fellow physician who retired at age 70, I asked him on my last visit to D.C. why he was continuing his own work, even though he recently had some severe back pain and clearly might have enjoyed his senior years with his friends and family more if he was free of all his obligations. Ken let me know in his own quiet way that his work with patients, but also his concern for the health care environment in D.C. was not ready for him to step back. He was more worried about serving his patients and community than his own health and happiness till the very end, and that character defined him as a man. We will all miss you Ken!

Dr. Brown was a kind, giving person, who helped our family in a time of critical medical need. He was an exemplary physician and healer in the truest sense. During her teenage years, our daughter spent many hours at the Browns’ home, enjoying their company and generous hospitality. We will always be grateful that he came into our lives. To his family, we hope that the memories of his goodness soften the sorrow of his loss.

Dr. Brown was the most caring and kind persons/doctors you want to know. I have been going to him seems like forever. He was a very thorough and unique Doctor that cared deeply for you as a patient and friend. I am going to truly miss him. He was not only my Gastrointestinal Dr but anytime I had a health challenge he helped me get better with his knowledge. It took me a while to write words of comfort because I didn't know what to say. He was very instrumental in my life and I had serious issues and bouts with my health but he was the Dr that stayed on top of my health challenges. I miss him so much. Very gifted and kind. True to his patients. Sending love, peace and prayers to his family. So sorry to see him gone. Blessings!!

Sorry to hear of Ken´s passing. He was a warm, friendly, gregarious, and giving man, hosting flash mob pool parties, or gatherings to watch the game with us and many others. My family´s prayers go out to Terese and the kids at this time of sorrow, trusting that his loving memory is shared with so many.

My heart goes out to Dr. Brown's Family. He was my Hero. I was 19 years old when he became my Doctor, I am now 65 years old. He was the only doctor after going to many Doctors to diagnose me and have a treatment. God created a genius to save life's. God blessed me to have Dr. Brown as my gastrointestinal physician, and my primary doctor. He was a master in medicine. I will miss you Dr. Brown because we had a long time patient and Doctor relations that we both loved to tell interns, doctors and patients our many years of a doctor and patient relationship. I will miss you Dr. Brown but I feel that God loved you more.

You will never be forgotten.

Thank you
Dr. Brown.

One of the most generous people I have known, many times giving of his time, medical wisdom and encouragement with no expectation of any return. Also a great connector of people across all kinds of commonly assumed professional and social identity barriers. Rare guy!
