FULLER Kenneth D. Fuller Past Grand Master of Masons of the District of Columbia (2016), ascended to the celestial lodge above on February 23, 2021, he was 74-years-old. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on December 1, 1946, Reverend Fuller graduated from Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1972 and was ordained in the United Church of Christ. He spent the greater part of his life serving churches of his denomination in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland and Maine, last serving as pastor of St. John United Church of Christ in Riegelsville, PA. While in High School, Brother Fuller became a member of the Order of DeMolay, Plainville Chapter, and served as Master Councilor in 1964. Later, he received the Chevalier Degree and was an active member of the DeMolay Legion of Honor. Brother Fuller applied for the Degrees of Freemasonry through William R. Singleton-Hope-Lebanon Lodge No.7 in 1998 and was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in September of 1998. He served as the lodge's Master in 2005 and was elected Junior Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia in 2006. He subsequently advanced to Junior Grand Deacon, until he was called to lead a church in Connecticut, where he affiliated with Frederick- Franklin Lodge No. 14 in Plainville, Connecticut and of Lee Council No. 25 in Collinsville, CT. He returned to Washington, DC in 2011, was elected Senior Grand Deacon, and continued his service as an Officer of the Grand Lodge. In 2016, Most Worshipful Brother Fuller was elected Grand Master of Masons of the District of Columbia. During his year as Grand Master he traveled widely, was a champion for equal rights in the Craft, and held several educational events, including a popular jurisdictional ritual competition. Companion Fuller was also an active member of the York Rite bodies in DC. He was a member of Mt. Vernon-William R. Singleton Chapter No. 3, Washington Council No. 1, Washington Commandery No. 1, and had the distinction of serving as the grand presiding officer over the District's three Grand York Rite bodies - Grand Chapter in 2007, Grand Council in 2018, and the Grand Commandery in 2003/4. He was also a member and past presiding officer of several invitational bodies. He was the recipient of the Grand Encampment's 2002 Knight Templar Cross of Honor. Illustrious Fuller joined the DC Scottish Rite bodies in May 1999. He was invested as a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour on 2007, coroneted a 33��, Inspector General Honorary, in August 2017, and served as the Venerable Master of Mithras Lodge of Perfection in Washington, DC in 2018. Ken was active in his community, as well. He served on the Board of Directors of Ring Lake Ranch in Dubois, Wyoming. He was Secretary and earned the award of a Distinguished Officer of the Bangor, Maine Noontime Kiwanis Club. He served as President of the Board of Directors of United Church Home, Inc of Silver Spring, MD and he was a fellow of the College of Preachers of the National Cathedral. Fuller is survived by this wife, Lorraine, his children, Jonathan and Martha; and two grandchildren, Eva and Waylon Stahl. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, hikes, and travels around the Rocky Mountain states.
