From The Moody Family, Adolph, Linda and Duane..our hearts go out to your family during this time of loss, but yet, celebration. My Mother is very grateful for all the printing jobs that Mr. Springfield did for her during her tenure as a D.C. Board of Education member. I was never instructed by Mr. Springfield, but I did interact with him working on my Mother's materials. Peace and much love.

Dear Aunt Ida,kenny,Stacy
Though the boy,s and i were not able to be there in flesh we were
there in spirit.Though the boys
are to young to know how loving,
strong,and graceful my uncle was,
they do know that he was a kind and loving father. These things and
many more was the legacy that he has left for me to follow. beleave what you see and not always what you hear.It is men like your husband who has not only told me how to be a great father and a role model for my children, but has showed me in more ways than i could ever say.And so i say to you and your loving children your husband lives in me and my children and we will pass him on to my childrens children. In otherwords my loving Aunt, your husband shall live in us forever spreading his love and guidance.
I thank God for my uncle and his love.
Loving you always

On behalf of Linda Moody, former DC Board of Education Representative for Ward 8 Schools in the District of Columbia, I extend heartfelt sympathy to the Springfield Family. If my mother were able to speak, I know she would say great things about 'Spring'. My mother was the kind of person who enjoyed working with people who were dependable and committed to services provided to the children of Ward 8. Mr. Springfield had both of those qualities. My brother (Duane), my husband (Michael), and I are all graduates of Ballou SHS. My mother was unable to attend the services today, but I attended and received confirmation of things I already knew about this great man. May he Rest In Peace!

When my daughter was a student at Ballou, I told her to always go to Mr. Springfield if she ever needed anything and I was not immediately available.
God sent this angel to look over my child and I am thankful that I was able to let him know how much I appreciated his standing in my stead.
Thank you Mr. Springfield!

We are faced with so many challenges daily, and then we struggle with a solution (Proverbs 3:5), we lean on the strength and direction of "OUR LORD" and ask him to sustain us, so remember all the joyous memories and know that he'll always be in your presence comforting you and your family. Remember the Love, Joy and Peace now.

I have so many special memories of Mr. Springfield, expecially way back in the Holy Name days. He was always there encouraging us during those CYO basketball games.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Springfield and Williams families. Since 2001, Mr. Springfield hardly ever missed any of his granddaughter's basketball games and he always had encouraging words for all of the girls and the coaches. We all share in your loss and his presence will truly be missed. May God be with you all during this time of bereavement and may the happy memories of/with him bring you peace and comfort.
With Sincere Condolences,
The Holloway Family
