Kevin was a very dear friend when we were both teenagers in the DC area. I ran into hi ten years later in NYC and I did a photoshoot with him, and we hung out a couple of times, but lost touch soon after. I left NY and never heard from him again, until I discovered his passing. I was devastated as he was such a beautiful person, and I remember vividly some of our adventures. I am easy to find on social media with my name. Please reach out if you want to see more photos or if you would like to share some stories of his life before he left us. May he Rest in Peace.

It didn't take long for Shaun's brother to become MY brother. We drove each other crazy but we were family so it was okay. If he wasn't up on the roof with his shoe on a rope, lighting the deck on fire, or bringing a 12 foot Xmas tree in our 9 foot house, it just wasn't one of our "normal" days. I'll always be grateful for all he did for my "kids" (Gidget and Fred) and for me. He was truly a great friend and brother. I'm sure he's swinging Gidget around on a broom and stringing Fred up like a pig. I miss him everyday but I'm glad he's in a better place. I'm thankful God gave me the chance to have Kevin in my life.

I met Kevin through Nell, he was always hanging out at my house in Virginia. I'll always remember the day I let Kevin color my hair. He was so excited and it came out beautiful. He was the best. Kevin, I know you are at peace with our Lord. My deepest condolences to the family.

It didn't take Kevin long to grow on me. He became a comforting presence at Shaun and Diana's. It was always strange to be there when Kevin was out of town or staying with his Mother. I just got used to him creeping down the stairs to cook up one of his concoctions or the many, many waffles that he so enjoyed. Of course, cooking was always an adventure because he never stuck to the recipe, but added something extra to "spice it up, chile."

And it was nice to have a hair stylist on premise, as we can all attest to. He certainly had the talent to make my hair go from "flat to fluffy" just when I needed it most. AND he wasn't too shy to let me know when my hair needed some help.

We will miss you Kevin, but we know you are at peace and you don't have to worry about any of us fussing about your house music. You can play it as loud as you want.

I will miss you, Mrs. Doubtfire.

When you met Kevin, you fell in love with him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loving spirit. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to spend the last eight years with him as his roomate, getting to know him and becoming one of his best friends. He was one of a kind. I will miss hearing about the movies he watched, the dreams he had, our trips to the mall to return his purchases, and his sun bathing on my deck while he smoke his cigarettes. I will always hear his voice saying, "CHIIIILD" "PLEASE MISS THANG" "OKAY..." and "THIS IS MY SISTER." I miss him terribly. Didn't know how much I enjoyed his presence, until I was unable to see him again. My brother and friend, may God watch over you until we meet again. Love, your little sister!

When I first met Kevin, he was "Shaun's brother". He very quickly turned into "my dear friend Kevy". I'll always remember our trips to Columbia Mall so he could pick out the latest fashions for the season. We would walk the mall and Kevy would be disgusted at all the trifling hair do's that were walking around.

Kevy would, no matter how sick he was, always ask how my daughters were doing.

Trips to Rehoboth Beach have the fondest and funniest memories. The funniest by far was when Kevy sneezed and his teeth flew over the 4th floor balcony of the hotel. I've never seen Shaun run so fast down 4 flights of stairs hoping to get there before an unsuspecting tourist walked on them. She made it!!

I miss you Kevy and think of you every day. Take Care of Gidget. I know she has missed you so much.

Love,

Sue

I will always remember the way Kevin became friends with my father and helped me take care of him, after he developed alzheimers disease. He was the only person who helped me take care of and bury my father. God, thank you for the blessing of my having Kevin in my life. God, always bless Kevin and his family, and may the power of your light forever hold the spirit of my angel, 'Kevin'.
