I have known Sister Harris for many many years. She was one of the most humble person"s i have ever known. She always had a kind word to say. When it came to counting money her mind was so sharp even in her later years. You would think that counting money was counting money but she showed me how it was done all the way down to the penny. I admired her for that and her wisdom and eloquent speeches. She will truly be missed but I am confident that we will meet again on the other side. Ecc. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

It was just a blessing to know Sis. Lauretta and the fond memories of traveling to New England Missionary Baptist Convention women's retreat each year. We were often roommates. She also made an impact with the young people in the Convention. My heart smiles today, no tears here. A soldier has finally made her way home. The life that she lived now speaks for her.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

To the Family of Miss Lauretta Harris,
What a delight it was to know and serve the Lord with Miss Harris! Her love for Jesus was evident to everyone with whom she came in contact and her bright smile always lit up the room.
Miss Harris was a world traveler and she was loved and admired by every life she touched - young and old alike.
It was my privilege to serve with her in Youth Ministry with the District Federation of Young People and the New England Baptist Convention Youth Department where she faithfully worked many, many years.
I'll truly miss the godly wisdom she shared, her sense of humor and the enthusiasm she demonstrated as she diligently worked year after year.
The work that she did with the Youth, Women's Ministry, Missions, her Chapter and Bethlehem Baptist Church certainly speak for her.
Hearing her recite her favorite Bible verse was something that I always enjoyed, "Beloved, it does not yet appear...", she'd boldly declare.
It was a privilege to know her and we do believe that she's now home with the Lord she loved from Whom she'll hear say, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant...".
Sincerely,
January 10, 2014
I offer my sincere condolence to the family. May the God of tender mercies bring you much comfort and sustain you during this grievous time. 2 Cor. 1:4

I felt so privilege to call her Aunt Lauretta. She always gave me that warm/wide smile knowing I'd have some kind of goodies for her.

I'm so sad - it was a blessing to get to know my aunty. She was a ball of wonderful and great energy. Always smiling and happy to see the family together and enjoy a meal. I regret not spending more time on my last trip to see everyone. Thought I'd have more time...I am blessed to have many memories of you to see that wonderful smile and hear that sound of excitement you shared whenever I came around. You represented a huge part of this family and will surely be missed!! LOVE YOU!
