Laurie Field Obituary

Laurie Lord Field, age 91, of Springfield, Virginia, passed away on March 5, 2024. She was born on November 14, 1932, in Washington, DC. Laurie was a loving wife, mother and sister who raised six children. She loved her family, gardening and spending time at the beach.
Laurie is survived by her children: Christina O'Connell, Thomas Field Jr., Daniel Field, Wendi Dorey, and John Field, as well as her sisters Mary Lou Tilghman, Peggy Butkier and brothers Robert Lord and Sandy Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Field Sr., and daughter Debra Akridge. She also has 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 17, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Fairfax Memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Foundation For Fighting Blindness.
