LAWRENCE LEE FLAX
On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, LAWRENCE LEE FLAX of Annapolis, MD. Devoted son of the late Dorothy and Jesse Flax. Beloved husband of the late Sandra Lee Goldhammer Flax and former husband of Elaine Flax. Loving father to Mindy Renee, Jessica Meredith and Stefanie Eve Flax. Dear brother of Yvette Rich and the late Alvin Flax. Cherished uncle to four nephews. He also leaves behind his companion of the last several years, Patricia Kristoff. Lawrence served in the U.S. Navy as a chaplain on the USS Forrestal. He owned and managed Capitol Paper Company, the business his father started in 1932, until his own retirement in 2016. He also was a T1 Diabetes survivor of 50+ years. Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD. Shiva will be via Zoom. Memorial contributions may be made to JRDF.org or calling 1-800-533-CURE (2873). Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001.

I had the privilege to met Mr.Lawry Flax ( as I would call him) at my place of work. I work as nurse/ med tech. I was assigned to work on the residential floor in which Mr.Flax resided for his period of time. He was very cordial and cooperative. I was not surprised about his credentials as stated he served this country with dignity. His daughters were completely involved in the matters of his care. I would smile whenever he was with his daughters for luncheon. He's one of the many I enjoyed supporting him in his wellness. Lastly, to his family left behind my sincere condolences
and too Stephanie and Jessica it was a pleasure to meet you at Sunrise.
