LEON MAXWELL BURNS, JR.
On November 27, 2011, loving husband of Deborah R. Burns. Also survived by his son, Leon Maxwell Burns, III and his mother, Agnes P. Burns; his sisters, Deloise Washington, Patricia Walker and Maxine Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Leon Maxwell Burns, Sr. Mr. Burns will lie in state at New Canaan Baptist Church, 2826 Bladensburg Rd., N.E., Tuesday, December 6 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Gregory M. Sims, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greenebaum Cancer Center, UMMS Foundation, 110 South Paca St., 9th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Sincere wishes of condolences to your family. You were a strong soldier in your fight - your love of your family was ever present, especially as we talked about our sons growing up. I only knew you for a short time, but it was clear what a good person you were. All of us in the business community will miss you.

Bubby, you were not just my brother, but you were my best friend. There will always be a special place in my heart where you will continue to live. As kids we always looked out for one another and that became the norm as we grew into adults. God gave us a fantastic gift the day you were born. Love you always Maxine
