LEON KEARING Obituary
LEON RICHARD KEARING, JR. (Age 45)
Passed away July 28, 2014 in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Born September 25, 1968 in Washington, DC to Leon Richard Kearing, M.D. and Shirley Martin Kearing. "JR", as he was known spent his youth in the Washington, DC Metro area, where he sang in the All Saint's Church choir and enjoyed playing tennis at the Kenwood Country Club. He attended the Sandy Springs School and the Lab School of Washington, DC. JR had been living in the Ft. Walton Beach area recently. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Mary Susan O'Connor and her husband, Anthony Morris O'Connor Jr.; and his girlfriend, Carolyn; a niece, a nephew and numerous cousins. Private graveside service will be held at a later date.

'J.R.' suddenly passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014, in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Although he was a true Washingtonian at heart, he came to Florida to be with me and start a new life. He was so proud to be from Washington, DC. Everyone that knew him here, in Fort Walton Beach, knew he wasn't from the area.
JR was on his way to being the person that he wanted to be in life. His star shined bright while he was here, but it burned out much too fast. I will always miss him and he will be in my heart forever. I love you JR. You are at peace now. Be happy in paradise with the lady that loved you unconditionally, your mother. I will see again, my shining star.
