LINDA MADGE MARTIN July 13, 1951 - February 27, 2022
Linda passed away peacefully on February 27, 2022 with her children by her side at the age of 70 after a short but valiant battle with lung cancer. She was born in Madison, Indiana and met her late husband John while working at the Library of Congress. They were happily married for 42 years before he passed away in 2020. Linda worked at the Library of Congress for 33 years and stayed very active after retiring; she was a member of Dulin Methodist Church, Master Gardeners, Falls Church Garden Club, Rock Spring Garden Club, and the Herb Society of America (just to name a few). She loved gardening, baking, owls, butterflies, and all things lavender. She is survived by her two children, Erin McFarland and Nathan Martin; two grandchildren, Liam and Madeline McFarland, and many friends. A private service for family and friends will take place on March 7, 2022.
