Linda Prandoni Obituary

Linda Elizabeth (Coulter) Prandoni, age 81, died on August 29, 2025, at The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester, Virginia, after suffering from dementia for a number of years.

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 9, 1943, to James B. Coulter and Norma Brink Coulter. Most of her childhood was spent in and Green Hills, Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1960, the family moved to Bethesda, Maryland, where she graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in 1962. After high school, she attended Maryland University in College Park, Maryland.

Linda and her husband of 63 years, Andrew "Andy" P. Prandoni, lived at several places in Montgomery County, Maryland, one of which was in Glen Hills for eighteen years. They spent twelve years restoring an 1892 Victorian home in Garrett Park, Maryland. In 2016, they moved to The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester, Virginia.

Linda's greatest love was for her family. In addition to her husband, Andrew, she is survived by two sons, Andrew P. Prandoni, Jr., and Stephen J. Prandoni, a daughter Carolyn Knowles (Brent); and a brother, James B. Coulter Jr. (Sylvia). Also left to remember her are five grandchildren: Zak Knowles, MacKenzie Miller, Hannah Knowles, Sam Knowles and Andrew J. Prandoni. Linda was also survived by four great grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.

Linda found great joy gardening. She was an active member of the Glen Hills Garden Club where she served as the activities planner. She was also an active member at Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg and served on the Staff Parish Relations Committee for a number of years.

Another of Linda's joys came from cruising the Caribbean Islands with her mother Norma, daughter Carolyn and niece Nancy Abrams. What happy times they had in planning these trips and sharing the stories when they returned. Linda was a compassionate and thoughtful person to everyone that knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Yesterday

I have very fond memories of Linda at Grace UM church and especially working together at the Soup Kitchen. I have plants living at my home from some she gave me many, many years ago. She and Andy were truly master gardeners in Rockville Md. Andy, my thoughts are with you - I well know how difficult it is to lose your spouse. God Bless
