LISA DERRICK Obituary
Lisa Marie Derrick
Lisa Marie Derrick passed peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2021 in Lincoln, Maine at the age of 45. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, six uncles, four aunts, two cousins, and brothers Alex Derrick (1/1994) and Peter Derrick (8/2020). Lisa ("GiGi", "Lisa Leigh") was born in Fairfax, VA on April, 24, 1975 to Bartlett Derrick and Joyce (Miller) Derrick and raised in Vienna, VA. Lisa was an incredibly selfless and caring person, who truly embodied those traits. Her love for her family, friends, co-workers, and residents/patients was genuine and undeniable. Her boisterous laugh and super fun and creative personality will be missed immensely by all. Lisa is loved and missed the most by her parents, Bartlett and Joyce Derrick (Leesburg, VA), brother Kelly Derrick (Jane - Reston, VA), brother Paul Derrick (Terri - Yakima, WA), sister Melita Cedarholm (Yakima, WA), nine nieces, three nephews, three uncles, three aunts, too many to count cousins, and her close, extended families and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers and assistance during their most difficult time. A Celebration of Lisa's Life will be held in the Lilac Pavilion at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna, VA 22182, on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. An interment service will immediately follow at the Andrew Chapel Cemetery, 1308 Trap Road, Vienna, VA 22182. Please wear BRIGHT colors, no black. Her favorite color was pink. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association in Lisa's name.
