LISLE C. UPDIKE, II
Born August 16, 1943, died peacefully in his home on July 18, 2012. He is survived by wife of 40 years, Julene; 10 children and 30 grandchildren. Friends may call at 3900 Howard St., Annandale, VA from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., July 28, 2012. Funeral at 1 p.m.

Julene and family, We were shocked and dismayed at hearing of the passing of Lisle this morning at church. He was a great and gentle man and will be sorely missed by us and several members of the Front Royal Ward. Know that you are in our prayers and thoughts at this time.

Julene and family, words cannot express the grief our family has after hearing of Lisle's passing. We found out this morning at church if we would have known we would have come. We will miss Lisle deeply we know that we haven't been in contact much but we think of you often. He will be sorely missed by several of the members in the Front Royal Ward.

Brother Updike was awesome! He taught me many things of the church and made me the person I am today. He will be missed greatly by me. Thoughts and prayers go to Sister Updike and family! Rest in Peace, Brother Updike! Until we meet again!
