So sorry to read of Lloyd's passing, not long after my mom's-Gerti Burtyk-in March of 2023. Lloyd was a frequent guest at our family's homes, no matter if we lived in Turkey or Alexandria, VA; and we visited him in Vienna, Austria. Rest in Peace generous and lovely Lloyd.

I worked with Lloyd at the World Bank. After leaving the Bank he hired me to assist him on a major project he was managing in Romania where I came to appreciate his leadership skills.
I particularly remember him showing gratitude to his staff for their efforts on the project.
We met for dinner several times when he would pass through DC post Romania. He lived a good life and had many interesting experiences.
I only saw Lloyd´s name in the list of Washington Post obits for April - June 2023 which was enclosed as a supplement in the July 27 edition of the Post.
