I still work at Wilson and each and everyday I am always reminded of Morgan. I will never forget him especially when I use to work late he would always look out for me and my two small sons and make sure we were safe.....I am a Dallas Cowboys fan who use to talk so much junk to him all the time but best believe I actually looked forward to seeing him in his Redskins gear at work everyday with his baseball cap on. I know he is in the heavens right now telling me to hush while giggling and more importantly I know he has his jersey on right now as I type..... well enough of my babbling you get the point. To the family, just know Mr. Morgan will not only be remembered by the staff but also by the former students who still till this day ask me if the man who wore the Redskins jersey still works at Wilson. He was WILSON........

To the Morgan Family;
My heart-felt sympathy goes out to the family members and friends of Lorenzo Morgan. I worked with his sister [Mamie] and during many of our lunch-time chats the love for family was the prime discussion.
As you celebrated his life, the days of mourning are forthcoming. A remedy that helps is to remember his laugh/voice and those words of comfort, it will help you through those rough days.
As a DCPS volunteer, it's such a great privilege to read about Lorenzo's career at Wilson High School. If you can get an opportunity, please attempt to get a copy of the school's newspaper as there are nice reflections published in your loved one's honor.

Mr. Morgan always had a kind word and a smile on his face. I would see him throughout the day and later still after basketball practice. Mr. Morgan will be missed and so will his work ethic.

Every school community should be so fortunate as to have the respect and devotion Mr. Morgan gave to Wilson. Even in an aging and challenged building, the floors glistened. After the elevator burned, they had to carry the floor machines and materials etc. up and down the stairs to make that happen. I feel privileged to have known him over many years. I won't forget his smile and his unending willingness to help. He is an inspiration. Cathy Reilly

I will always miss Mr. Morgan. I knew and worked with him for 17 years and he literally watched Lil Guy and Brandon grow up. Always remembering him for wearing his Frankie Beverly baseball cap, teasing me about the Dallas Cowboys, giving my kids money when he saw them, always having time to listen and most importantly being Mr. Morgan. One story comes to mind, which I will never forget. Back in the day I use to work late working in the records office and we had the steel door to the office and Mr. Morgan would always tell me don't worry about being here in the bldg with the door closed because he would check on me all night making sure I was okay. He would also joke about the ghost in the bldg, so I would definitely not shut the door so I could scream if I got scared knowing he would come. I will miss him but never forget him.

If James Brown was the hardest working man in show business, Mr Morgan was the hardest working man at Wilson High School. Bar none. My prayers for the Morgan family, are that the Good Lord's healing hands will comfort you. God bless.

An aggrieved young person lit a fire in the Wilson auditorium lobby’s custodial closet several years ago. It filled Wilson’s entire first floor with thick, nasty smoke. After I got my class outside, I went over to the place where I could see the most smoke coming out. There, in the midst of that blinding, choking fog, two empty fire extinguishers by his feet, a fresh one in his hand, was Mr. Morgan. He’d gotten most of the fire out, by himself. He walked out, as all the firefighters, with oxygen masks, full coats, pants and helmets, were charging in. Mr. Morgan had some fierce devotion to Wilson High School and its well being. I will never forget him.
