Our hearts go out to the Clemente Daughters who were such loving family for dear dear departed Lorraine. I am proud to have known her and so glad I visited her a few years ago.

Lorraine Clemente was my Aunt, and a truly Great American, who made the world a better place through her life and example.
From my earliest childhood, and at our wonderful family reunion in 2002, I will always remember and cherish her engaging stories and wisdom, and her wry sense of humor. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
My Mom Josie, my son Christopher, and I, offer our heartfelt condolences to my cousins Conni, Cheryl, Jeanne, Lyn, and families. We share your loss and your grief, and you are in our prayers now and always.

Mother,
Days are not as bright for me now that you have left. But my heart sings because I know that you are with the Lord. My memories may fade but my love for you will not.
Say HI to Dad for me!

The greatest gift God gave me was my
parents, and the responsibility of
taking care of Mom in her final years.
Although it was difficult and demanding
at times, she taught me love, patience,
understanding and selflessness. I
would do it all again, over and over,
if I could. I know she looked forward
to seeing all her dearly loved family
again and thanking St.Joseph for his
protection over the years. I think
there's probably a pretty happy time
going on in heaven right now! I will
love and miss her forever.

Mrs. Clemente was a wonderful, strong and gracious woman. She must have been an incredible mother!
I feel so graced to have had the chance to know her in the small way that I did.
Please know that thoughts are with all of you know and will continue to be.

Even though I haven't seen Aunt Lorraine in many years, I always remember her with fondness when we would visit her and Uncle Tony and all my cousins. We had so many happy times in VA with Grandpa and my family.
I am so saddened by her passing, but know she is with God and finally reunited with Uncle Tony after so many years. She had a wonderful life and was blessed to have such devoted daughters.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences go out to all of my cousins and their families. I was hoping to possibly see all of you this spring for her 100th birthday. My family will be thinking of you during this difficult time-

Although we were able to see Lorraine only a few times over several decades, her daughter Jeanne is like a sister to us, and Cheryl, Conni, and Lyn are enduring friends. That Lorraine raised four generous, loyal, ethical, strong, and intelligent daughters is a testament to her many virtues and the boundless love that she showered on her children. I know how they respected and loved her, and rightfully so. She was a very special person; the world will miss her. Kathy and Brian Hollen, Barton, VT

For over 40 years Mrs. Clemente was the best mother-in-law anyone could ask for as well as being a throughly delighful person. I will miss her welcome smile, and always warm-hearted personable words of wisdom.

Grandma Lorraine was a sweet and caring Grandmother. I always loved hearing her stories from her past, as her memory was impeccable. She taught me the word "frock", as she detailed outfits she wore in her younger years!

To remark on the life and legacy of Lorraine Clemente is often a task left to a beloved partner, daughter, son or relative who knew the person from his or her earliest days on earth.
Lorraine Clemente was my grandmother and a great one at that. She had a capacity for memories and shared experiences that most would long for. I was always left aghast at what she would and could recall about days and people past.
Bruce Springsteen sings of life in stages of birth, renewal, death and rememberance. He must have met my grandmother along his path to a songwriter's heaven because she could take him across the tracks on 18th Street in Washington as if it was 1940 all over again.
Here's to the real genius who left us saddened by her departure, but marveled us with "99" on her back in the end.
I'll miss you, Grandma Lorraine, now and forever.

Conni, Cheryl, Carolyn, and I had the best parents in the world. We pray that Mom has been joyfully reunited with Dad and her brothers and sisters.
