I am deeply sadden to learn of Madeleine passing. I enjoyed driving her in my taxi cab when she came up to Boston on the train. I have a lot of fond memories of her. My prayers go out to her family.

Ah Madeleine - I'm going to miss you terribly. I feel so blessed to have worked with you for all those years at Datastream/Thomson Reuters in London. I always looked forward to you visiting and enjoyed our lunches and dinners and trips to the ballet - you were immensely generous in everything, your humour, knowledge, wisdom and experience - and that ever-present twinkle in your eye! You were such a great mentor and an incredible friend, I'm so glad we managed to reunite in DC for dinner in 2018 - that was such a treat to see you after such a long time! Thank you for being an amazing and tenacious human being, and setting an example to us all. Most of all - thank you for your special friendship. Love Annie xx

I have had the immense honour to be under Madeleine´s wings in the Economics team back when she was with Thomson/Refinitiv/LSEG. I consider her my mentor, a role model - someone I really look up to. A significant part of who I am today is really thanks to her. My passion for data, my work ethics, my care for our people and customers. I´m really grateful that I have learned from the best! And for it to be from a strong woman made it more special and for me, made me feel empowered.
I was hoping I´d still get the chance to see you, Madeleine. You would´ve been the best reason to visit the US. Thank you so much for everything. My heart still feels heavy with your passing and words are not enough to describe how much impact you´ve had on us. You continue to be in our thoughts and in our hearts. You will always be special and remembered. Advance happy birthday! Please look after us.
Love always,
Vida from Manila, Philippines

I was a colleague of Madeleine at Data Resources (DRI) in Washington DC in the G and K street offices in the 1970´s and 80´s. DRI, with its pioneering economic modeling and analytical software using the nascent technology of time-sharing computing, became probably the largest non-governmental distributor of economic data in the world at that time. It transformed the accessibility and use of economic data by business and governments as well, and at DRI Madeleine was a critical cornerstone of that effort that changed an industry. She managed and led the development and maintenance of those huge, critical data bases by dozens, then probably hundreds of employees, which required an unerring eye for detail and high standards of perfection to collect, process and deliver extraordinary amounts of economic data. She was rarely in the limelight and always calm in the midst of constant critical delivery deadlines, and all of us who worked at DRI were constantly aware that Madeleine and her teams would always deliver and be a foundation of our success. Our paths never crossed again as I moved on and she continued to build ever larger, path breaking data operations in subsequent companies, but and I will always remember her ability to motivate her colleagues and her reassuring demeanor in a small, rapidly growing company with the highest standards in its field. Rest in peace Madeleine.

Madeleine was my boss during my time at DRI. I would spend time in the DC office when needed and one memorable time, she had me stay with her. This was around 1982. Today I was making potato and leek soup that she had made for me and taught me how to make, and I had a strong urge to reach out to her. I searched for her name and found this. I am so sorry for you loss. She was an incredible person.

The sad news has reached us in the UK that our dear friend and former colleague Madeleine Disario had died. For me personally, she was both a wise and guiding influence as a colleague and a dear, thoughtful, funny and supportive friend. She was a whirlwind with a grin on her face and a true expert in her field. She took on anything that was in her way and was determined and fierce in looking out for her people at work. I miss her and know many others do too.
From Terri, Kate, Hayley, Marie, Julie, Annie and so many more.

I remember Madeleine as one of the most positive, bright, intelligent, funny and great-hart people I've known. She was, and will always be, my guru. I have learnt a lot from her, she encouraged me to become the person I am now, in both personal and professional life. Her wisdom and sense of humor was one of its kind and invaluable. Madeleine has been a role model to many of us, who had chance to know her.
I was hoping to visit her one day in the US and didn't manage.... But she will always be in my heart. Goodbye Madeleine!

I have huge respect for the work Madeleine did at DRI. She built an awesome team that did work critical to the mission of DRI. She provided inspiration both as a manager and as a leader. Sympathy to her family and to her colleagues.

I had the privilege of being a member of the sailing team from 1968 to 1972 that Madeleine coached at Georgetown University. We were quite successful under her leadership. Madeleine was a terrific person and coach. I would like to extend my condolences to her family.
