Sorry. We were out of town when this happened. Mal was a "presence" at the bridge table. One of my first partners at Guy Mason back in 2004. Having lived many years abroad, we had good conversations about the IB program over the years. He had an interest for an obvious reason. Please accept my sympathy.

Working for Mr.Sheffield was a great experience. I came in as an employee as time went on he became like family. He was a kind and loving man. May God continue to watch over his family and may his soul Rest in Peace.

My deepest sympathy on Mal's passing. I know my parents ( Anne and Mark Smith) and our family were very fond of him. May his memory be for a blessing.

Linda, when your dear parents moved to the Colonnade your sweet Mother and I immediately bonded. Noah was a little kid learning to swim. Your Mother's loss left a hole in my heart. Your Father was a pillar of strength. While I had to move away for several years, I was keenly aware of the many personal sacrifices you made for your Father. Please know your thoughtfulness and kindness to your parents was a great comfort to them. You are an example of how we should all live. Now that Noah is a young man, he too will be guided by the strengths and gentleness of your parents' memory.

Linda and Noah, I am so sorry. My brief associations with Malvern in The Colonnade compelled the instant conclusion that he was a kind, generous, erudite, and gentle man. I hope that you find continuing comfort and peace in the many memories you undoubtedly already have and cherish.
