I am saddened to learn of the passing of Professor Zymelman. I was one of his students at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in the early 70s. It was a class on the Economics of Education. There was academic rigor in his class, but he was certainly a most flexible, understanding, instructor. In particular, he helped me to retake an exam which I had failed due to family responsibilities (mine). I have always been, and continue to be, grateful for his help.
