Margaret Bayes Obituary


MARGARET LENORE KNOX BAYES  (Age 99)  
Of La Plata, MD died January 9, 2012 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. Born February 6, 1912, in Parsons, KS, she was the daughter of the late James and Maude Knox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Bayes, brothers, Charles and James Knox, and sister, Maxine Knox. She is survived by her son, John J. Bayes and daughter-in-law, Donna Bayes of Bowie, MD; daughter, Diane L. Knode and son-in-law, Wayne Knode of La Plata, MD; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher and Tracy Bayes, Kimberly and Ron Hare, Angelea and David Hoogerheide, Michael and Christina Bayes, Timothy and Jennifer Bayes, Kelly and Jeremy Parr, Andrew and Allison Bayes; and 19 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, Waldorf, MD. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., La Plata, MD is handling arrangements.

Margaret lived a full and satisfying life surrounded by many who loved and cared about her. She will truly be missed. Psalms 121 is a very encouraging scriptural passes. There God gives assurance of His love and support for you.
