(Age 85)
Margaret C. Brown, age 85, died peacefully at her home in Arlington, VA on September 16, 2025.
Margaret was born in Washington, DC, on October 16, 1939, the daughter of Joseph Brown Pearson and Helen Minnie Dusenberry. She was a graduate of West Viriginia University. After years as an elementary school teacher, Margaret went on to a fulfilling career with the federal government.
She enjoyed traveling and was an avid watercolorist. Her paintings were featured in exhibitions around the country, and she was active in numerous watercolor societies. Margaret's artistic contributions earned her a place in Marquis Who's Who.
She is survived by her son Tyler Brown, her daughter-in-law Bettina Neudert-Brown, and her grandson Oskar Brown.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on September 25, 2025, at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, Virginia 22201.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, people consider donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
