Peggy was always my invaluable support when I lived with Na Nini in Ybycui. I was assigned to pilot environmental education programs in the elementary schools in Ybycui. It was challenging and I would get discouraged when few if any people came to my first workshops. Peggy offered constant wisdom and encouragement. Thanks to her I stuck with it. Not only was she helpful she was also fun. We laughed a lot and learned a lot together. I am sorry I lost touch with Peggy over the years. My loss.
The photo is from a visit Peggy and Kate made to my house to meet the toddlers David and I had just adopted from Colombia. There she is again, smiling and supportive.

Peggy was not only a wonderful friend but also my first mentor mom. She taught me so much, including the nuances of executive function in bilingual children, the 4MAT teaching method, and the importance of transferable skill sets. After my time in the Peace Corps, Peggy encouraged me to take a professional job that would develop my negotiation and influence skills as well as business acumen. She was always grooming me to have a strategic seat at the table. Her wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support have left a lasting impact on my life. Peggy´s warmth and spirit touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
