MARIA FERGUSON Obituary
MARIA LOURDES FERGUSON January 25, 1922 - September 29, 1922
Maria Lourdes Ferguson passed away after suffering an injury in a fall. Maria grew up in the Philippines but went to Italy in her teens to study opera. Although WWII started and put an end to that career, she continued to use her gift of a beautiful voice to entertain hundreds of military personnel and various dignitaries. On her arrival to America, she began a lifetime of making a home for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and husband, James Ferguson. Maria's passing was only two weeks after the passing of her beloved husband of 33 years. She is survived by her three daughters, four stepchildren, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Maria was a devout parishioner of St. Michaels's Catholic Church where funeral services will be held this Friday, October 3 at 12 Noon. Friends and family can pay last respects Friday, 9 to 11 a.m. at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA. Burial arrangements are pending.
