Marianne Vaishnav Obituary

Marianne Katharina Pollich Vaishnav, 87, of Montgomery Village, MD, entered into God's care Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Holy Cross Hospital, Germantown, MD.
Born in Stara Palanka, Yugoslavia, Mrs. Vaishnav immigrated as a child to the United States in 1950. She became a citizen of the United States.
She graduated from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1964. She worked at the National Bureau of Standards (NBS), now the Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) before going to work for the Navy. She received many commendations for her work at the Navy as a safety officer.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Maria (Lang) Pollich, her loving husband, Rameshchandra N. Vaishnav, her brothers Josef M. Pollich and his wife, Anne M., of Trenton, NJ, and Anton Pollich and his wife, Herta, of Wels, Austria. She is survived by her nieces, Monica M. Pollich and Anneliese M. Pollich, both of Trenton, NJ, and her friend, Anna Fraker of Gaithersburg, MD.
There will be a gravesite service at noon on October 1, 2025 in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels parish, St. Joachim's Church in Trenton, NJ, at the beginning of October.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial scholarship of Rameshchandra Navalshanker Vaishnav and Marianne Katharina Pollich Vaishnav at The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.
