MARILOU JOCSON Obituary


MARILOU A. JOCSON  
Marilou A. Jocson, "Malu", age 63, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2021 in a traffic mishap in Arlington, Virginia. Malu is survived by her devoted husband, Deane Jordan; her aunts Finita, Fanny, Cora, Mariflor (Francis) Ocran, Maribel (Dave) Flewitt; uncles Nic and Chino, and many young relatives. Malu was born in the Philippines and came to the USA at a young age soon after finishing her BSc (Accounting) and becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She became a US citizen and enjoyed an illustrious career in accounting and management, rising to senior levels of a prominent environmental engineering firm. Malu's life revolved around her deep love for her family and numerous close friends residing around the world, her enjoyment of travel, home projects and current events, and her love of tennis and other sports. She will be sorely missed, and will be remembered forever for her happy, positive and loving nature and outlook on life that was infectious to all who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4401 Sano St. Alexandria, VA 22312, on August 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to So Others Might Eat (SOME) or your local food bank. We deeply miss Malu. She definitely was always cheerful and brightened every room with her smile. We are praying for her soul and continue to pray for Deane.
