One of our staff members at the Arlington Public Library brought this sad notice to my attention. We have posted the information on our Columbia Pike Branch Library Page, and invited any of our patrons who knew her to share their memories, especially those related to her work at Columbia Pike.

I remember Marilyn as a very kind, very sweet mom to an equally sweet and kind family. Though my memories are dim, as I was a small child, I am sad to hear that she is gone. I have a warm place in my heart that belongs to her.

Dear Russ, Janice, Gordon and David - my thoughts are with you today - I was shocked to read Marilyn's obituary last night. We have not kept in touch the last few years, but I have many fond memories of our days together - newlyweds, new parents...
Please let me know the date of the memorial service. Again, I am so sorry for your loss of your wonderful wife and mother and grandmother. My love to all.

We were very saddened to hear of Marilyn's passing. She was a delightful, fun person who brightened whatever room she was in. While we had not seen her recently given the distance, our memories of her will remain strong and fond and our sincere condolences to all of your for your loss.
