It's not only a birthday, an anniversary, or family occasions that I remember Mark. He's impossible to forget and someone so many of us think about daily. My warmest wishes continue to go to his family. I cherished his understanding, wisdom, and neverending love for his family and friends.

It's been about a month since Mark Snyderman left us all far too early and it's clear I'll always remember him because he was so unique. We met in the early 1980s at the U.S. Department of Education where Mark, a former teacher, was committed to helping students with special needs. Nevertheless, he always had time to help co-workers and offer cheer. I was lucky to meet his wife, Lois, and witness a loving bond that is incredibly rare. When their first daughter, Faith, was born, she and her dad displayed an uncanny closeness without words but marked by laughter. Mark shared the same love and understanding when Rachel was born. Although he always was a source of generosity, kindness, optimism, and integrity to all, his wonderful family was clearly his priority. Mark continues to inspire all of us to lead lives with utmost compassion, humility, and courage.

So sorry to hear this. I knew Mark from having lived in the Essex for 15 years. I always enjoyed chatting whenever we ran into each other-often with him sharing what his girls, whom he adored, were up to...sending my thoughts and prayers to the family.

Deepest heartfelt sympathy to the family. I worked with Mark at the Department of Education and then at Healthy and Human Services. He was truly a gentle soul filled with kindness and an amazing work ethic. While I enjoyed working with Mark, I also enjoyed our chats about our children, college and everyday life as well. He will be greatly missed at the work place.

Mark was such a wonderful person--the sparkle in his eye, his laugh, his love for his family. Much love to the family. He will be missed.
