MARK VALENTE III
Of Springfield, VA passed away in his home on August 3, 2016 after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on September 14, at St. Peter''s Catholic Church, 313 2nd Street SE. Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be directed to the scholarship being established in the name of Mark Valente III at Villanova University School of Business, ATTN: Clay Center at VSB, 800 E. Lancaster Avenue, Villanova, PA 19085.

Dear Claudia,
We were so sad to hear of Mark's passing. Michael and I so enjoyed the Villanova/Georgetown rivalry and being your guests for the games. I like to imagine that Michael and Mark are continuing this enjoyable rivalry in the Great Beyond. We are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers at the difficult time.

I was deeply saddened today to learn of Mark's passing. As a childhood friend of Mark's in Grosse Pointe Park, the two of us were inseparable growing up. We shared a lot of laughs and good times and I know he will be missed by all. Claudia, please know that you and all the Valente family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

It seems so unfair that someone who gave so much to so many should have such little time with us all. Mark was a great friend and colleague and will be sorely missed. Words cannot express our deep sorrow after learning of Mark's passing. You and your family are in our prayers.
Mark has been a friend and mentor to me and so many others. He touched everyone in our family, including Kyle who is heart broken in having not only a friend, but a mentor in the college process die so soon. Kyle loved talking with Mark about not only Villanova but also his career aspirations and inspired him to find what he loves. We are blessed to have had him in our lives, albeit for too short a time.
I suspect the Angels in Heaven are enjoying hearing Mark recall his great stories.
Mark has touched so many lives and know there are countless people who are willing to help you during this difficult time.

Phil kiko shared the news earlier today. I am shocked,, Mark turned 60 a day before I turned 65. Words escape me. Mark was a good friend, colleague, and warrior in the trenches. My dear friend, we have lost such a good man. His heart of gold will never be matched and the loss of his bear hugs and laughs will make the world smaller and quieter for all of us. I was shocked to hear the sad news of Mark's passing and I am so sorry for your loss. The two Mark's (Valente and Rodgers) showed this Canadian around DC so gracefully when I first arrived on the scene. Mark was also very helpful in Michigan and we had a few laughs at his wonderful golf tournament.
