Martin loved spending time at the beach with his loving wife, Julie. Sweet memories.

Martin was born in 1936 in Castlerea, Ireland. I was born in the same year. We were both delivered by my Aunt Cissie who was a Maternity Nurse. Pre World War II years were extremely tough with little or no employment for parents and limitations on available food items especially nourishment for children. But Martin came from a family noted for their gifted determination and one where every family member contributed toward the success of each other. For whatever reason Martin had the nickname of "Mirdy" when he was a young boy. Martin immigrated to the U.S. when he was 21 years old and lived with my sister Katherine and Joe Moore in Maryland. On his very own time, Martin attended and graduated from Georgetown University in WDC, and later spent his entire career with The Federal Trade Commission. That was Martin's way of saying "thank you" to his newly adopted country.
God speed to you Martin, and please don't tell the people up there, how things should be done.

We lived next door to Julie and Martin on Fowlers Lane. They were always sweet neighbors. Julie would bake cookies whenever I used the snowblower on their driveway. I know they loved their kids and we enjoyed hearing the tales of their trips to Ireland. Our condolences to Julie and the whole clan.
