Marvin Parker Obituary

Entered eternity on Friday June 20, 2025. A native of Washington, DC, Mr. Parker, in 1949 graduated from the Armstrong High School, Washington, DC and in1954 graduated from Morris College, Sumter, SC. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Parker retired as a dedicated D.C. fireman (1980), and also retired as the safety officer for Howard University (1998). He was a member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge #22, Washington, DC.

Mr. Parker was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ada Parker. He is survived by his children, Marva, Alvin (Anita) and Robert Parker; two grandchildren, Marlin and Allison Parker, and other cherished relatives.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, visitation 10 a.m. until Celebration of life service 11 a.m., at From the Heart Church Ministries, 5055 Allentown Road, Suitland, MD 20746. A final salute with military honors, and entombment at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Washington, DC.
