On Friday, November 19, 2004 of Darnestown, MD, departed this life after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family, Ed and Cyndi Brake of Herndon, VA, Beth and Steve Johnson of Darnestown, Jim and Diana Brake of Austin, TX and six grandchildren. Also survived by a host of friends and relatives in Maryland, Virginia and Texas. Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX to the late James and Lalla Critz, Mary enjoyed a career as a special education teacher for 40 years. She moved to Maryland in 2000 to be near her children and grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1020 Spring- vale Rd., Great Falls, VA, on Wednesday, November 24, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions of sympathy may be given to Montgomery County Hospice, 1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850 (301-921-4400). Arrangements by ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME.
