We will definitely miss Mrs. Doyle who was one of the greatest teachers at Anacostia. I graduated in 1998 and I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Doyle as a teacher. We are in the process of planning our class reunion and was talking about how we would like for her to come. So it was really sad to hear that she would not be able to make it, but we are happy to know that her spirit still lives within our hearts. We love you Ms. Doyle.

Good teachers come too few and far in between. Ms. Doyle was one of those good teachers that you don't have the privilage of having all the time. She taught me all three years in Anacostia 96-99. I will miss having her to joke with every now and then. She was a faithful and devoted teacher in an environment that was thought to be for lost souls. She believed in every single student that she taught. She will be greatly missed and I want to send my sympathy out to her family. I'm really going to miss seeing her with her TAB sodas!

I taught with Fran at Anacostia in 1974 and after that one year, we became friends. She was a wonderful person, who never complained about her physical ailments and always, always, looked on the bright side of things. I know that she loved her teaching career and her students at Anacostia and I know that I and the thousands of others she positively affected WILL miss her.

Although I was never a student in any of your classes at Anacostia, the fact that you chose education as a profession and to devote your life to that is an unwritten testimony to those who follow you and should give much inspriration as well. May God bless your family in this most trying of times.

Ms. Doyle was a great teacher and kept me on the straight and narrow path. She expected so much out of her students and was disappointed when we didn't do our best. She will be missed and my prayers go out to her family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Fran/Mom2,
Blessed are you…
For you are highly favored on Earth and in Heaven.
Never harsh were the words from your mouth,
Yet, true they rang out on countless occasions.
Intermittent your hearing may have been,
But attentive your affection and devotion always was.
Fading was your eyesight, and
Slowing were your steps.
Nonetheless…
It was your colorblind heart that always showed through.
Your love and devotion was second to none, and
You will always be in our hearts.
Your kids will never forget you.
John 5:24
He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
Forever your son,
