Dear Cousins - How I loved your mom!!! She was so encouraging to me and always had a kind word to say! Did you know we named our Ruthanne after your grandmother? Some of my first memories are of your grandmother, Ruth, and the love she showed me even as a little silly bratty 4 year old. I didn't hear your mom's proper name very often - she was so happy to be "Fooshie"! She raised you all well and had a wonderful part in the lives of our family!
We pray for God's comfort and peace to be present with you during these days. I am so sorry I will not be present at the service to celebrate her life. We are out of the country at that time. Please keep in touch.
Love to each of you - Bobby, Bill, and David and to all of yours -
Susan and John

Mary will be sorely missed by the Bangham family. Mary, Bob and Dick Bangham grew up together in the Bethesda area. After both couples were married, the Banghams and Featherstones were inseparable. We spent lots of time together - kids and grown-ups. Mary and Bob were favorites of the kids. We always laughed at her funny stories about Dad as a teenager. Photos of the two young married couples on an outing along Skyline Drive were stared at with amazement (who were these young, happy kids?) The last time I heard Mary's stories was a few years ago when my mom, who passed away in 2007, and I went to lunch with the Featherstones. As usual, Mary had lots of stories to share, and I soaked them up as I had done as a kid.
Now the Banghams and Featherstones are all gone, but they live on in our memories and continued family friendships.
Love to Bob, Bill and David from Peggy. My condolences to you and all the family.
