MATINA STEPHANOS TROUPOS  (Age 93)  
On Saturday, November 11, 2017 Matina Stephanos Troupos passed away in Rockville, MD. Born in Danville, VA October 22, 1924, she considered the Washington D.C. area her home. She was a lifelong member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Devoted wife of the late Peter D. Troupos; Beloved mother of Danny (wife, Paula) Troupos; cherished grandmother of Panayoti, Konstantine and Marianthy Troupos (Mendez); loving sister of Angelina Stephanos, Sophia Makyrs and the late Steve Stephanos and Helen Roumel. Family will receive friends at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 7701 Bradley Blvd, Bethesda on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Bladensburg, MD. Contributions in the name of Matina Troupos may be made to Greek Orthodox Church of St. George or Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
