Sorry to hear the news. I knew Matt in Jr High and High school. He was always a friendly and funny guy - and did a great job singing at the school talent show

I am sorry to hear of Matt´s passing. We hadn´t seen each other in years, but we were childhood friends. I was part of the Burning Tree Elementary youth and Matt, along with Jeff Kelly and Fran Sullivan were part of the Fernwood Elementary crowd. We played many softball games together during the old Summer Recreation program in Montgomery County. Sometimes we would ride our bikes over to Wildwood Shopping Center to the 5 & Dime or get pizza at the Greek Restaurant. We went on to attend Pyle Jr. High and Walt Whitman High School together. I would occasionally see Matt at the Georgetown Rd. Swim club and we would always talk about girls and school. After High School people lose track of many friends and I´m sorry I missed out keeping up with Matt. Knowing what kind of person he was, I know Matt fought the good fight and my prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family.

Gordon and I met Matt soon after he married Beth and helped them buy their first home together in Germantown and then they joined us in Haddonfield in Darnestown. We became long time friends and loved watching their family grow as you see in this Haddonfield picnic with Charlotte. Matt was an outstanding loan officer and Gordon valued his experience, integrity and professionalism. His early death makes me very sad for Kyle, Bridgette & Charlotte. He treasured his children. Gordon passed on August 12 suddenly and I believe they are in heaven together enjoying each others company as they did in life. He will live on in his beautiful children.

Dear Bridget, Kyle, and Charlotte,
We have such fun memories of times we spent with Matt and your family when we lived on Haddonfield Lane. He did have such wit and impish charm and we loved being with you all. We are sorry for your loss and we are thinking of you during this difficult time.
Love, Zeke, Jane, and George Hartner.
