Not sure what to say?

January 14, 2010

Brenda,
just now the sad news of Moe's passing away has reached me in California. Please let me say to you now what I should have said to him many years ago: as a father of daughters - or maybe he just was ahead of his time - he was instrumental in advancing my a career as a woman in public accouting. I thank him a thousand times for it.
Please accept my sincere condolences

Dear Brenda, Mary Kate, Sheila, Eileen,
Betsy and Sarah,
The memories go back so far that it is hard to believe that Moe has gone to God. To me and my family he was a model husband, father, neighbor and friend. He was always there,---a steady constant helpful presence in good times and bad. There are a lifetime of memories of wonderful times in Waltham, Belmont, Westwod and the Cape. All the Ballotti's join me in shock and sorrow at his death. You are in our prayers that God will be with you in your grief. With love and sympathy,
Gerry Ballotti

Dear Brenda John and I are so very saddened to hear of Moe's death. May God rest his soul and may He take care of you and your family. You know you are both such special people in our lives--we have always treasured your friendship and have many wonderful memories of years gone by--especially the lovely luncheon in the Cape's most beautiful "cottage". Our prayers are with you--we would be there with you but life has brought us our challenges which prevent our coming at this time. With much love to all of you and wonderful memories of Moe. Sheila and family,

Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate and mourn the passing on of your dad.

I have fond memories of your dad's jolly eyes, quick smile and genuine interest in us.

Truly the hero to his daughters and their many friends!

To Moe, until we meet again-

I remember Moe as a teenager, leaning against the doorway of the dining room teasing his little cousin as I came in for breakfast and having fun at Plum Island at our family picnics. My love to all of the family, I pray that you grieve today and then start to remember and laugh with Moe who is looking over you for as long as you need him. With Deepest Sympathy.

Moe, we miss you too much already!

You were not only a "Big Brotha" but you were a true friend!

To my chidldren you were a favorite uncle and a valued confidant.

My fondest memories will always be those many times we trod together around one golf course or another. They say Golf is a metaphor for life .... oh, tis true dear brother, tis so very true.

Thank you for all that you were to me and my children!

Moe and I worked together since the late 1980s. He always was concerned for his clients, but never forgot the people who worked for him. I am glad to say he was not only my mentor, but my friend. I am a better person for having known him, and will miss him.

I am also sad to read this news. I can only repeat what Rich Whalen's late wife, Peggy wrote. Like her and many of our loved ones, he has won his battle with cancer. We know this good man is now free of pain and has been entered into heaven and is awaiting his beloved wife, children and friends.
